If you’re interested in screenwriting, the UCLA Extension Writers’ Program offers almost 200 annual courses in feature film and television writing. Whether you’re a newcomer to writing or have written one or more drafts and want to catapult your career to the next level, there’s a writing course for you. Courses may be selected to suit your individual needs, with daytime, evening, weekend, and online options. Choose from more than 90 instructors, most of whom are Writers Guild of America (WGA) members and produced writers, with numerous credits to their names.
Certificate Programs:
For those who prefer a structured course of study, the Writers’ Program offers three certificate programs:
- Feature Film Writing
- Television Writing
- Screenwriting: Film and TV Comprehensive (meets I-20/F1 visa requirements)
The Feature Film and Television Writing certificates may be completed fully online.
